Hi, I just came across your blog post that you made recently where you provided a link to zumyn along with some shots of your mosaic that you did for your son. We are still quite small, and so we tend to look up any site that sends us any traffic to see what people are saying about us - which I'm glad to see was positive! :) Anyway, I got to reading about all the difficulties you and your family have had since your son was born and I'm amazed at how much you have been through (and I'm only up to the point where you got him home from hospital for the first time!). Given you are apparently pleased with your mosaic, and to say thanks for linking to us, we'd really like to send you a copy for free if you would like one? If you are interested, please just let me know the name and address that we can send it to and we'll get it sent out next week. Either way, I hope David continues his progress and things work out well for you. Best wishes Ian |
What a great guy, right? Well, look what I got in the mail today:
I had no idea how BIG it is! This is on our dining room table!!
The small images turned out SO clear, too - I am really amazed. It really is amazing, I wish all of you could see it up close. Javier's going to buy a frame for it tomorrow and I'm going to put it above my fireplace Anyways, that totally made my day.
If you didn't catch my post, please visit this site! It's www.zumyn.com
So here are the pictures that I've taken the last couple of weeks:
He looks like an angel
but then...
No wonder my television always has handprints
Before bed
So my nurse said she puts David on the potty several times a day and he'll typically go 2-3 times a day for her.
But, he hasn't gone for me, but it could be because I haven't been as strict about putting him on there - I just put him on it like twice a day or something.
I wasn't really trying to potty train him yet... and my nurse knows how I feel about it - it's just for "fun" right now... when he's ready, he's ready, but I don't want him to be scared of the potty or resent it in any way. I think it's fantastic that she puts him on there.
And I really don't think that his communication skills are good enough to tell us when he has to go potty yet....
But what if it's just ME that's not ready? How do you KNOW that they're ready? I don't want to push him, but I don't want to stifle him, either.
So I thought David was napping, and I was back in the laundry room folding clothes. When I finished, I came out and found this.
Here's the culprit
He was still tired LOL
And here's some pictures I just thought were cute
He's doing this here -->
This is one of my favorites, because I think he makes the cutest face when he says E-I-E-I-OOOOOOOOOO
This is what he does ALL DAY LONG when he wants you to sing itsy bitsy spider with him
David's a stinker. Sometimes he grabs my glasses, even though he's been told exactly 9878486848946848435146584798765165848484 times not to.
So I tell him "NO, David."
And I have a real serious look on my face.
And he gets this real intense look on his face, and slllloooowwwwllllyyy gets closer and closer.... until his nose is touching mine.
How do you NOT laugh at that?
David and I were playing with the camera today I thought some of them turned out pretty cute
Now those are some strong genes. haha.....

Yes the boy does look like you!!! I just was really noticing that today!!! It's ok mine looks like me too!!
Wow...so much is going on. I loved the mosaic and thought it was wonderful that Ian sent it to you. I think that I would follow your Mother's Instincts on the potty training.
:-)
Love the mosaic! So very cool Ian sent that to you. I love the first pic of the two of you. That is totally worth a frame!
With potty training, I would not push but ask often and as soon as he's trying to tell you so, jump on it!! Be consistent, and try to make it the same times. For example every time he gets a bath, every wake up time as your changing his diaper, and right before bed as your getting him into jammies. LOL don't worry it will happen soon enough.
