Welcome!!!

Welcome to my new blog. I'm sure you're wondering why I changed addresses... but this is gonna be a HAPPY place so I'll just say that certain people were using my blog entries for their own agendas. So, I switched. I'm a little bit upset because in transition, I managed to lose all of my March 2005 posts, which is the month I found out I was pregnant. sob.gif

Anyways... it's been a while since I've updated... so let's see... what have you missed?

David's still sick...

Yesterday morning when Susan (the nurse) took his sats, he was only satting 86 on 2 liters of oxygen.

So, she went up to 2.5 and it went up to about 93% which still isn't even all that great.

She says that his left side breath sounds are diminished (which last time meant he had atelectasis on his right lung)...

The weird thing is, he wasn't coughing, not retracting, not breathing fast... so I don't know what the problem was.

They went up to breathing treatments every two hours instead of every three hours. And then today, he was fine. I don't understand.

This makes almost a month and a half of being sick, though. 36_1_46%5B1%5D.gif

And we still haven't brought that plaque up to Dr. Chavez... seems like everytime we mean to, something happens.

Well, here's a couple of sweet pictures of David. Susan had been giving him CPT and he fell asleep.

David tried spaghetti and meatballs recently for the first time. He really didn't eat much, but he made quite a mess!!

David has taken to having temper tantrums to that magnitude of which I've never seen. Earlier this week, I gave him a bath and put him on the bed while I changed his dots and gauze. He started SCREAMING. I knew he wasn't hurt, and nothing I could do would calm him - not talking to him, not singing to him, not holding him. So, after a couple of minutes of this, I just put him in his bed and left the room. It's so frustrating sometimes!! I guess that's life with a toddler... someone tell me this stops soon!! 36_1_20%5B1%5D.gif

awwww, he's still precious!! I hate to tell ya that the tantrums are just starting, hehe. they get worse, just have to keep doing what you're doing and ignore them and he'll eventually learn it doesn't do any good so he'll stop. it took my kids a few months that seemed like years to quit.
